Segway Warranty Policy

Warranty Coverage

Segway provides users with a 24-month warranty service for the entire vehicle(Except for the Super Villain 2.0T). The following warranty periods are calculated starting from the date when the warranty begins, and the warranty period ends when the warranty time expires.

Warranty Description

  1. 1. During the warranty period, for vehicle quality issues caused by material quality or manufacturing processes, Segway-authorized dealers will conduct appraisals and provide users with warranty services (Part Costs + Labor Hour Costs) free of charge to restore the normal functions of the vehicles.
  2. 2. The following conditions and rules need to be fulfilled during the warranty period:
    1. a) Repairs during the warranty period can only be carried out at Segway-designated authorized dealers.
    2. b) During the vehicle's usage, it must be used, maintained and serviced in strict accordance with the instructions in the "User Manual".
    3. c) Adjustments, maintenance, repairs, installations and modifications during the warranty period can only be carried out at Segway-designated authorized dealers.
    4. d) When applying for warranty, users must present all relevant vehicle documents (i.e., vehicle purchase certificates, maintenance certificates from authorized dealers, and the original or photos of the vehicle registration certificate).
    5. e) The vehicle information (VIN, serial number, mileage, etc.) shall not be tampered with or damaged.
  3. 3. Accessories replaced under warranty shall become the property of Segway.
  4. 4. For accessories replaced due to vehicle quality issues caused by material defects or manufacturing processes, the warranty period shall be the remaining duration of the original warranty for that specific accessory, ending when the original warranty expires.
  5. 5. Segway shall not be liable for any commitments made by third parties or individuals beyond the scope of this policy.

Liability Exclusion

The following situations will not be covered by the warranty service for the faults or consequential damages:

  1. 1. Faults occurring beyond the warranty period;
  2. 2. The vehicle being used in various competitions;
  3. 3. The purchased vehicle having been informed in writing of defects that do not violate laws and regulations;
  4. 4. Damages caused by failure to use, maintain or service the vehicle in accordance with the user manual;
  5. 5. Damages caused by modification, adjustment or disassembly of the vehicle;
  6. 6. Installation or use of spare parts or accessories that are not equivalent in quality to the original parts;
  7. 7. Abnormal wear and tear of parts caused by improper repair or assembly;
  8. 8. Extended damages caused by improper handling of the vehicle by the user after a quality problem occurs;
  9. 9. Use of fuel, engine oil or lubricants that do not meet the requirements of the vehicle;
  10. 10. Damages or indirect damages caused by accidental accidents, human factors, environmental factors such as natural disasters or other force majeure events;
  11. 11. Failures caused by the use environment exceeding the normal operating conditions of the vehicle (such as a shorter remote control distance or inoperability caused by environmental electromagnetic interference, etc.);
  12. 12. Wear and tear of parts caused by natural abrasion;
  13. 13. Rust and corrosion of parts caused by use and storage environmental factors;
  14. 14. Segway only covers the accessory costs and labor costs for repairs. The warranty does not include other loss expenses caused by faults, including but not limited to towing fees, parking fees, toll fees, transportation fees, hotel expenses, meal expenses, handling fees, vehicle rental fees, loss of holidays, personal time costs, telephone fees, taxi fees, loss of income, etc.

To ensure your vehicle is in optimal condition, maintains the highest safety standards, and enjoys an extended service life after repairs and maintenance, while avoiding issues caused by improper servicing, we recommend having your vehicle repaired and maintained by Segway-authorized dealers. These dealers possess extensive experience working on Segway vehicles, have access to the latest repair documentation, and are equipped with specialized tools and genuine original parts required for Segway vehicles.
